Kris Boyd transfer saga updates





14:00 BIRMINGHAM boss Alex McLeish is ready to re-jig his wage offer for Kris Boyd as the Rangers striker was today linked with a shock move to Lazio in this transfer window.

Italian press this morning claimed the Rome side are interested in taking the Scotland star to Serie A and could be ready once they offload current strikers Simone Inzaghi and Stephen Makinwa.

21:52 (Rumour) I just got a call informing me that talks cannot have stalled as Boyd never even got on the plane down to brum.
He got as far as the check-in at the airport and turned round got into a waiting car and sped away.

The deal is now dead as Boyd quite obviously doesn’t want to go.

Should the transfer be resurrected Rangers will receive a fee in the region of £3.8million

15:13 Birmingham City have told BBC Sport that Rangers have accepted an increased offer for striker Kris Boyd.    However, Rangers, who rejected an offer of around £3m for Boyd on Tuesday, say negotiations are ongoing.
